Turn 41.1 [10] Combat Round 1

[Zed]

Init:
Thak, Aceed, Atak, Bamoin,Jial, knok, Dee, Risach, Caligula, Belwar, Manswarm

Round:
Thak tosses an alchemists fire into the midst of the creatures, the fire explodes over a creature (3 dam) and splashes another (1 dam) Thak then moves to engage one of the creatures.

Aceed advances to the second, reaching the creature he swings his rapier at the foe. The blow slides into the creatures guts, (3 dam). Aceed is suprised the blow didnt do more (should have been a crit)

Atak, seeing no clear way to cast a fireball, moves more into the room and casts magic missile against the foe his brother is fighting. (11 dam)

Bamoin, jial and kno all loiter with no clear plan or direction in mind.

Dee throws his staff at the closest to him after taking a short 5ft step, (no.2) the staff strkes the creature squarely hurting it in the process (7 dam)

Rischach drops the lantern onto the floor then rushes forwards. His greatsword whistles as he slashes across the body of the 2nd creature being engaged by his friend, the blow strikes the creature firmly (7 dam).

CAligula giggles from the back, taking a pull on some wine.

Belwar pads upbehind Kegs and against yelps and growls, nipping Kegs on the back of the leg [Endurance +4 Con Thak for 5 mins]

The first creature swings its fist at the Barbarian, the blow is easily avoided by the mighty warrior. The second creature however slams its fist into the pint sized halfling causing some minor damage (2 dam) Aceed suddenly feels weaker (1 negative level suffered)

Actions?

No1. beasty 14/?? wounded
No2. beasty 12/?? wounded


[OOC im going to get harsh now. If a player fails to do anything in a combat round they will stand like a muppet. But can still be subject to attacks (they will defend themselves)

Im also getting to a point where I think we need to get Atak and Caligula some new players. If your interested PM me]

"They seem to fear steel like anyoen else" risach exclaims. "they need to be returned to the hellhole from which they were spawned.

Thak spits in the face of his foe and redouble's his efforts.

(OOC: Hack and slay away at my foe until dead, it or me then turn and attack other.)

(OOC: Negative levels? EEEEEK!!!)

Belwar uses his Call Lightning if there's any of it left, else he'll cast Resistance on Thak and back away for the time being.

(ack, sorry, missed this turn... not sure how just didnt notice the turn going out. to be fair, i'd probly have got all confused about how to kill these things, so its only fair that Jial did too )

Jial comes out of his shock-induced-daze and rapidly launches a flight of arrows at one of the creatures. (number 2, just in case it matters )

 

[Aciiid]

Aceed will try an alternate method. Instead of swinging his blade with the sharp bit he'll side swipe em with the flat bit (improvised fly squat time) for subdual damage (although I've a feelnig it may do more damage).

[ooc did my weapon feel like it hit something sturdy in there, or just pass streight trough the beasty. In addition anyone got any flaming blades ? ]

oh will try and work round to the side/rear of one we're on, at least 20,000 eyes watching me will be less.

Caligula grimaces at the writhing mass of creepy crawlies, and mutters to himself "Damn bugs."
Holding his right palm up, he stares at it, and concentrates as a hovering ball of fire begins to form [Produce Flame]. Not paying particular attention to where the rest of his meatshiel... party-members are standing, he starts hurling small balls of spluttering flame at the apparitions, sarting with the one closest to him [#2]

Sorry I haven't been posting mate - been really busy recently... new job, fencing etc. Hope all goes well with the quest - was a lot of fun when I was playing! Make sure you tell the new player that my name was ARAK though! (grrr )
