Turn 9 - An abandoned Mansion

Zed

Rogue Chimp
The morning dawns bright, those of you who made it to your rooms descend to the common room for breakfast to find the rest slumped in various places around the inn. All suffer from some form of hangover.

You seat yourselves and almost immediately are greeted by the barkeeper.

"Jevvica left this for you." he says without preamble, handing over a parchment.

Unrolling it you see some directions and a small map of the city. They lead you to a walled mansion in the old part of the city which is up on the hill behind the newer parts.

After breakfast you head out. It takes a good 30 mins for you to find the building in question. The gates are rusted and hanging off their mounts, the garden beyond wild and untended. The house itself appears to have once been a grand affair. Marble columns stand either side of a large carved wooden door. Steps lead up to the door. However even from the entrance you can see signs of disrepair. Also, one of the doors appears to be open a little.

Heading up, with Bamoin in the lead, you carefully enter through the door into a large entrance room. A grand staircase leads upwards whilst off to the right, at the side of the stairway a door lies open revealing a passageway beyond. Footsteps in the dust show Jail that one person left the building whilst at least 3 sets entered the passageway and did not leave. Following slowly you pass by the stair and are about to enter the passageway when a noise behind you alerts you to trouble. With a scream a stocky, 6ft figure launches itself from the stairway down into the midst of the group.

"For the Quaan," the orc shouts as it swings its greataxe towards knok....

Belwar starts to growl, but it sounds odd and then ceases suddenly. When you glance at his direction to discern what has happened, you see a sheepish look on his face, and then he wild shapes into his Wolf form, and continues his growling.

He tries to attack the orc, as will his companion.

With the Benedictine monks.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

In the blink of an eye Thak is running screaming towards the orc ready to rip out his entrails and use them as a belt. All the while looking to protect his companions.

Doggin' at a spot near you
Bamoin , looks alittle suprised, then dives forward out of the way of the incomming Orc .
... hopefully gaining some distance to be of more use .....

[OOC : the group is more than able to deal with this ....Bamoin will keep an eye out for more sudden attacks ]

Arak will start to prepare a spell to smash the orc aside if necessary, although he too merely looks around for a greater threat. Arak also wonders how intimidated the orc will be by the onslaught of a loudly mewing, fluffy, pink sword.

Arak decides that Thak looks so ridiculous wielding his sword in its present state, that he dispels the cantrip. He recognises that for the group to function properly, stealth may be required, and that Thak's afflicted weapon doesn't really fit into the picture.

[OOC Btw, what info did I get on the cloak earlier on? ]
