Undeleting

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about undeleting documents? I've just used Active Undelete to get a document back, and word opens it, but it just comes out with symbols rather than readable text. Does anyone know if there is any way of repairing the text?

np, managed to recover a txt file that had the body in without all the strange squiggles that word inputs

I'd saved the file as a .txt at some point when I was using it, as well as a .doc, and I managed to get hold of the .txt file. I still don't know how to use the undeleted .doc file, but it's not a problem anymore as the txt is at the same place pretty much, and I've only lost a couple of hours of work now. There are some good undeleting tools at www.webattack.com if you're interested.
