Anubis
The Doggy Chimp
Note: You need Mondain's Legacy and also to have got the quest for Dreadhorn fro m Heartwood in Yew.
You must have positive karma, otherwise the pixies will attack you.
It is very risky if there are a lot of other things nearby as the satyr may well provoke them onto you, which is not good.
Go to Ilshenar Sprituality, turn left and follow the mountain until you come to a cave entrance. the right side of that is a sparkly portal. Go through that and you will be in the Twisted Weald, with pixies, dryand, cu sidhes and 2 satyrs.
Head north and find a satyr. Tab into war mode and double click on the satyr (ie attacking it). Run back south and around until it discords you (or until you get attacked by pixies - satyrs provoke them onto you). Once you are discorded, run back through the sparkle gate, and return (if provoked, this will not break it so leave it a few minutes). Go back in and follow the satyr around - you need to be within sight of it or you will lose discord. Choose your skill and work it.
Skills I have trained up this way: Lockpicking, Cartography, Tailoring, Tinkering, Carpentry, Mining, Lumberjacking - also supposedly Inscription. It does not work for magery or Meditation. I think it is good on any skill that involves a target for an item to be used on something, etc.
Lockpicking: this was a pain from 95.5 because you needed to work on dungeon chests to get gains. Now with the satyr trick, with level 70 tinkerboxes it is easy.
Cartography. You used to have to read and decode a whole load of Level 6 maps after you made world maps to finish off this skill. Get discorded and continue to make world maps till you are GM.
Tailoring used to be a resource heavy pain in the butt. You can now go all the way up to 120 making oil cloths. You don't even need to use leather anymore to make a 120 tailor and can go from 90s to 120 off of a Blue Beetle and maybe a bit extra. From mid-high 90s base skill make oil cloths, then at about 108 head to the satyrs.
