Upcoming MMOs?

As Winter is approaching, I am once again looking for something to waste a lot of time on. :) Does anybody know any good MMOs that are supposed to come out reasonably soon or that just came out that I missed? Anything on the horizon people are excited about?

If I do not find anything worthwhile, I may go back to Everquest2 for a while. :)

Thanks a lot for the link. I will take a look. I was looking forward to EQNext, but some of the videos they showed for the game did not really cause much excitement for me. Too much bling and not enough substance is what it looked like to me.

If I find something interesting, I will holler. Maybe someone else has time for some MMOs. :)

The problem (well, one of them) I have is as I've gotten older I've turned into attention deficit boy and struggle to play a single game for more than an hour or two at a time. I blame the kid even though she's 9 now. At some point she just broke my ability to block the world out and play games with needing nappys changing/insert whatever it was she needed at the time.

I did the kickstarter for Camelot just because it deserved it and have dabbled a bit with the backer early alphas etc, it could be fun but with the focus on PvP I suspect without spending a lot of time playing or a strong and understanding guild I'm just going to quickly fall behind the curve of "uber armour and weapons level 97" and just get insta gibbed. Could be Gits perfect game except by the time it releases whats left of his reflexes will be shot to pieces and he'll rage quit after being pwnd by another 16 year old with ninja reactions.

Still, Fallout 4 on the PC to look forward to in 3 hours (well, 3 days actually as I'm away with work, but, still...). Keep threatening to switch to console for casual gaming but still cant shoot for shit with a controller so still spending daft money on PC bits :)

Same here.

I like ESO, but bugger me can I play for more than 5 mins! Can't bear the treadmill and trying to keep up with other players.

Decided that decent single player games are the way to go and enjoying Borderlands2, Skyrim again with a few mods, AOW3 and random other games like rocket league.

I'm looking forward to NoMansSky when it eventually comes out next summer...maybe.
Just fancy a decent exploration game.

Your opinion is worthless....
Still dabbling in the new jobby from Garriot but waiting on the proper release, also a backer of cameltoe which hopefully will be interesting when it's released.

but being as i have a near 4 year old and another due 8 days ago my time is limited, currently messing around in TF2 never gets old and the new warhammer fps type thingy which is a laugh.

Dead Again, I need a Rez
I got Shroud of the Avatar but its in pre-alpha and, i decided awhile ago to not play any beta or games that aren't finished yet.

Pegasus Belgar

Red Bull gives me wings!
Albion Online might interest a few here with its voxel graphics and Ultima Online feel, the pvp looks interesting (Git you looked into it?).
Also Crowfall is coming along nicely and Black Desert Online is being westernised for us to enjoy as closed beta is around the corner.
Camelot unchained does look nice and has that DAoC feel again.

i just can't get into MMOs these days. i'm not sure quite why not, but none of them can recreate the early days of WoW, even if i play with the same people.
i think partly its that i/we know too much now, and non of its 'new discovery' its just 'work out how to match the elements of this game up to elements from wow'

that and i have neither the time nor inclination to do raiding properly anymore. got to level cap in wildstar and just went 'meh.'.

i've enjoyed FO4 and SC2 this last week. {Some SC2 spoilers ahead!}

but FO4 has the same problem as FO3 and NV had - its not really a game, its a world simulator, and your enjoyment of it will largely revolve around how involved you can be bothered to get, which i dont really have time for at the moment.

And SC2... well, i dont really play these games for the competitive multiplayer. i play them for the single player campaign, and then maybe some coop multiplayer if my freinds are playing it. but LOTV... the single player campaign just feels really lackluster compared to the previous ones. even up as far as the second to last level of the main campaign, its treating it like a tutorial ("i can blink across this chasm to open the gate from the other side!"). i also think it was a step backwards that we dont get a nice hero unit like Kerrigan, that we can control and upgrade throughout the game.
It probably also doesnt help that of the 3 protoss characters i actually like, they killed one (Zeratul), ignored another (Selendris) for nearly the whole game, and resurrected in a weird broken form the 3rd (Fenix).
Also not quite sure why the protoss have gone from "we're a dying race, not many of us left" to "yeah, we have a fucking massive armada full of people. oh shit, we lost that? well we've got a fucking massive ship full of tens of thousands more. oh yeah, and there's a shit tonne of others waiting around the place too."

the solarite stuff was just funny though... first get the ship -"the Spear of Adun uses solarite, which we havent used in millenia!". every mission thereafter - "hey look, some solarite! go get it!"

I shall take a peek, but truth be told what game time i have is being spent dying in Black Ops III with all the l337 kiddies and their super mice with lots o buttons and wonder reflexes, still holding my own to a point lol.
