Virus?

Morning all

i am getting 20+ a night failure notices in my inbox

i have scanned with malware and 2 diffrent virus scans amd can find nothng on my PC

Below is a copy of one of the sen items that has failed to go.

I dont use Hotmail and these all seem to be going to hotmail accounts

Any suggestions on how to get rid of what ever it is?

I've had a few people with these sort of things in the past. Quite often it is nothing to do with you. If someone who has your email address in their system gets infected then they can be sending out dodgy emails with your email address as the reply address, hence you get the ndr reports when they fail.

I would run your machine through a full Malwarebytes scan download here just to make sure.

so what you think is happening is someone else is sending emails and im getting the reports?

That's right, it's easy to spoof a from address in an email, spammers do it all the time. If Malwarebytes hasn't come up with anything I wouldn't worry about it too much.

However, if it is your machine which is spamming out emails your ISP will soon let you know and stop outgoing emails from your connection.

when i was getting this, my hotmail account had been hacked, changed the password on it and the bouncebacks stopped.

It may be worth changing your BT Internet login password just in case.
