Yep, you heard me right, I feared this day would come, I hoped upon hope Nintendo would listen to it's customers, I was overjoyed to hear they were partnering with Gamespy to provide on-line support and then it happened ....

The heavens fell

To sum the key bit up (and the start of the article)
There will not be unified gamer tags or codes for Wii online games. Users will have to register with each title separately, as is already the case with the DS and the Wiis first online title, Pokemon Battle Revolution.

It's not changed my mind on what I think of the PS3 (though LittleBigPlanet is the only thing I see which could), but it's made me glad I'll be getting a 360 for online stuff for my birthday (anyone use wireless on there 360 know a cheaper way rather than MS's wireless thing let me know)

Strill really enjoying the Wii, almost finished COD3 and looking forward to Elebits/Eledees but many that sucks.

The 360 will take a cable if its to far from your PC to wire (another room maybe),you could always move your router closer to the 360 and get a wireless card for your PC.Cheaper to make a PC wireless than a 360

What's that last icon in the rare classic picture pack 1 of ?

And the router is in the front hallway where the phone base station is (voip stuff as well, thanks to BT), PC upstairs is wireless, laptop is wireless, DS's are wireless, Wii is wireless, I'm buggered if I'm gonna run a cable along the hall into the living room for it. Was just hoping there was a cheaper 3rd party wireless thing people here had used. I know there are one's but I'd like to go with one people have experienced given the choice.
