ClanUK guildname reserved

Hey all,

My mate introduced me to this a couple of weeks ago and its really good, so I took the liberty to reserve the guildname "ClanUK", hope that's ok...

Main toon will be called Qpid or Qpidstunt so if anyone is interested give me a holler in game or drop a note on here for an invite.

Its using a subscription based payment model so not sure how many people will be signing up, nor how long I'll stick with it, but figured its worth it as an alternative to Elite: Dangerous which I predict I will sink myself into more than I should... or more than the Mrs would want ;)

subscription based but like eve - you can buy credd (like plex) with in game cash from people with too much RL cash and not enough RL time...

i'll likely be on Eko (English, EU, non-RP, non-PVP), exiles side.

Exiles here also and after the wipe it won't matter which server but Eko sounds good ;)

well yeah it wont matter - except to try and be on the same one as people i know :p so figured its worth just getting a name out there ready.

The queues were bad over the weekend although I took yesterday off work to play and they werent bad at all, they'll probably ease off.

Playing a toon called Qwell at the moment, a Warrior who's level 14 - bit slow and compared to the two guys (Gunslinger and Stalker) the DPS is REALLY rubbish! Agro is next to impossible to hold too, although I think thats more to do with the build / mechanics I havent got to grips with yet...

Got a couple of level 7-9s of various classes and have to admit the DPS classes seem to be miles more mobile and more fun ;)

Just looking into creating a guild on there as we have just reached the main city where I am guessing its all done so once created I'll post on here :)

Hmmm guild creation - done in the main city as guessed, have to be level 12, costs 10 gold... looks like I'll have to amalgamate the money I have the various toons :D

Wish I hadn't messed around with my house now and spent 3g! Doh!

Not sure how many people are playing at the moment, I haven't seen anyone nor been added as a friend by anyone yet. Currently I'm playing with a RL mate and his son who (I believe) is already a member already of CUK but never really participated as we were over on WoW with the Self Preservation Society guild at the time.

I'll create the guild tonight after work so ~ 7-8pm GMT, hopefully once its available people will join even if its just for the green spam in the background and a natter whilst getting established in game. I envisage initially people will want to see where the game goes and how successful it looks like it will be before committing, but without a bit of a focal point (meaning a guild) it would be difficult to get people together / see numbers / etc.

Quick update;

Completed the main town's quest hub and got to level 16 (almost) but didnt manage to get the 10g needed to create the guild... However I did see someone called Simmo in a guild called <United Kingdoms> which is the Guild name we had in EQ1. I've also seen them in other games, but for the life of me cant remember which specifically.

I did /w him but he was quite obviosly AFK stood by the re-spawn machine after you die, so had maybe stormed away from the machine ;)

I'll carry on saving up, but will also chase up this lead as a possible joint venture for us? Any suggestions / opinions on this?

Folks,

I'm thinking of joining <United Kingdoms> with some of my toons and creating the <Clan UK> guild with another a bit later on, say in a month. I've got the guild name reserved so at least if interest increases we can all link up in there later. I think initially, and this is only my opinion so far, we should join up with another established guild with more members to experience the adventure instances and lower level raiding, not to mention get used to the game mechanics.

I will create the guild, just doesnt seem to be any urgency at the moment and whilst we are only starting off, the 10g could be used elsewhere - like for a mount! lol

I've grouped with <United Kingdoms> before in other games (TSW & SWtOR) and they're a decent bunch from what I remember. Looking at their web site they already have some decent numbers and applications on WS, but on my application (which I will submit over the w/e) I have stated I will post on here to suggest if CUK folks want a guild they go to them, at least that way we will have names we know.

I'll be doing this over the weekend, so if there is any interest in creating our own guild then let me know ASAP and I'll go ahead and do it, we can see how it goes can't we :)

Does such a thing as a "here, you're a mate; have this key and play for free for a week" exist? If so, can I have one? :)

Joined <United Kingdoms> on Eko server, also saw an application by Acidmouse on there ;)

Only grouped with them a few times to actually play but been seen them running around and in /g obviosly where they're friendly. When I joined their Mumble server I was a bit stunned at first as its another guild full of 'simarly aged' playes as CUK! Had a really good laugh though :)

Would highly recommend them as a group to join for Wildstar, they do seem to be quite laid back and a bit 'home from home'-ish :)

Their web page to apply is here.
