Req, is this the one that was running through beta last year? If so I enjoyed the beta so will probably have a run through even though I'm pants at online FPS... as long as you've kept the shotguns in!

"Introducing Platinum Membership!

Bogus free to play gaming is a horrible model.

There are no items in game that you can't earn with ingame cash as well as with real money. There's a special taunt animation that you get with your premium subscription and you get a discount on shop purchases but there are no gold guns or premium ammo that you can only get with real money.

Whether you pay or not you have the same health, have access to the same guns and vanity items and can stick out the same amount of damage. If you pay you can get new things faster is all.

thats ok then, the line about 'in-game advantages you cannot access being a non-member' had me worried!

personally i'm all in favor of the LoL method of F2P - can get everything with a real effect just from in game currency, but you can buy skins with real money if you want to.

Our model is topay for convenience rather than power directly. You can buy boosters thatwill earn you more credits or fans (xp) per match and you can buy new items directly with real money rather than having to save up your ingame cash but everything you use ingame can be bought without paying any real money at all.

There's no stats advantage to being higher level either - a rank 1 player and a rank 50 player will come down to who is better at FPS games as they both have the same number of hitpoints and there is no armour or super weapons in the game.

You should definately rework the line "'in-game advantages you cannot access being a non-member" - because it's sounds like you can 'buy advantages' that will effect your performance in game. And that will put alot of potential players off.

I've no problem with cosmetic purchases like League of Legends, which sounds more in line with what you have explained. I'm curious as to why you use a monthly subscribtion rather than just have a 'shop' - $14.99 seems quite alot.

I finally got this to run properly this morning after 2 evenings of unplayable lag.

Not really impressed. I felt just like another bog standard FPS without the polish or playerbase of a big release. Hated the fact the weapons degradate as you use them and you have to repair them - this is just plain antifun and is clearly designed to make you want to spend real money on the game as the money you get during a match just about covers the repairs, but doesn't allow for much else and I willing to guess the better the gun the more expensive the repairs will be.
I can't really see why anyone would want to spent 14.99 per month on this for the platium account, as you can by much better FPS's for cheaper than that as a one of payment!!

Never really got the whole 'gameshow' aspect either, felt like something tagged on to make it a selling point - but aside from the announcers/commentators (who barely speak anyway) I might as well have been COD with it's setting.

I admit the customisation looked like there was a decent amount of stuff to tinker with, but again - the limited credits you get from the matches mean you'll have to grind to get the interesting stuff (or pay really money to buy it).

That's my feeling on it i'm afraid. I just don't see it as a sustainable model, free players will get annoyed at the restrictions and I can't see many people willing to paid $14.99 per month for a fairly run of the mill FPS. But I wish you all the best and hope you prove me wrong!

bang bang - your still not dead!!

Aye up folks

I played this in beta for about a month/ 6 weeks and tbh it was fun, although some of the weapons are totally over powered, was expecting some changes having seen the feedback on the forums, but it seems like it's been left much the same as beta, will give it a thrash now and again but my main focus is gonna be Guild Wars 2 roll on the Azura!!

Cheers
