This is ridiculous, neither of us was game flitting, been more than 30 minutes now. Blizzard official line seems to be " you can email us about it but we cant lift the restriction".

Hi,

Apparently if you keep trying to reconnect then the restricted time goes up so it's best to not keep trying - just wait an hour or so.

It's happened to me occasionally when I've NOT been switching characters every few seconds too but it used to be very rare. Is this the first time you've seen it since the reset? It does seem that quite a few people have restarted Diablo2 recently - maybe the 486's they're using to host battle.net can't take the strain!

Just log in under on your son's PC next time and tell him off when he gets the message

Wont work mate, we share the ip addy so both comps were banned

Unless your with an ISP that gives you a fixed IP, don't you just have to disconnect your connection for a few minutes then plug it back in and hey presto you'll have a different IP ?

I know that works for my BT connection if I get IP blocked (damn Urban Dead and there number of connection limit, though I've not had that problem in ages now oddly)
