Your Tyrian chars in Cantha

As I alluded to earlier, there are FAR too many assassins in Cantha at the moment - it is difficult to PUG with one atm, and there are zero minor assassin runes available at the rune trader. Ritualists fare a little better, but their minor runes are ultra rare at the rune trader as well. It's expensive buying the new armours as well. Also I just spent 5K crafting some sai (daggers) which are not as good as you can find later.

So it occurred to me, is it worth playing one of the new classes just yet? The answer may be no if you play occassionally.

Your existing Tyrian characters can get to Cantha easily, and they already have full armour/skills/weapons - or at least far better than starting anew. Here is how to get your Tyrian character to Cantha:-

Zone to Lions Arch
Go see Sergio [skills]
Take quest to talk to Mhenlo
Go outside city door and talk to Mhenlo
You now have quest Mhenlo's Request
Go back inside Lions Arch and meet Jiaju Tai on the seafront
Travel to Cantha by boat

Once there-
Talk to dockside worker
Up stairs to Mhenlo
Quick mini fight against 2 enemies (easy)
Walk into Kaineng City

Lots of quests available from NPCs.
Lots of XP available on these quests.
You will gain skill points a lot quicker than in Tyria,
and find stuff for your assassin/ritualist when you make one.

You can go back to Tyria any time by clicking on the boat icon on the main map - which will offer you a journey back to Lions Arch.

I've moved my 3 Tyrian characters over now. See you there.

Missed you by an hour tonight DS & I had already done the same with Steve Brickman - my main. You are correct in the speed that you get new skill points di enough to get one in just an hours play tonight ( was half way to a point already but still that was a lot of exp needed) started a Ritualist which I hope to take Messmer as secondary & also an Assassin which I probalby will take Ranger as secondary & will potter about with using Henchies just to unlock the skills. Need to get some of the upgraded Mesmer skills to use on Steve, assume you can use them when you go back to the previous mission area.

By the way did you check out the title's tab on your old charcters, bet yours are better than mine (the only title I have is explorer of Tyrais @60.5%) & I have only completed 11/25 of the orgininal missions which I assume means that I have some that haven't got the bonus completed as I am sure I close to the end of those missions

I only popped on for about 30 minutes at 6:30 to try to get a PUG for LAST STAND mission. That one is really hard - even my As/Mo and henchmen can't do it. Failed to get in a PUG. Tried henchmen from the North. Failed again.

I had a look at the boards to see if people would be on, but din't see any indication, so spent evening with the other half. :/

Although my Assassin has ben fun, getting PUGs is a PITA. I might retire her for a while when I get to lvl 20, and play through with my monk. That way I should get PUGs easier, gather collector items/weapons/runes.

BTW Steve will only get to use new mesmer skills if HE unlocks them. Your PvP characters will have access to them as well though.

Would you believe only one of my characters has title Explorer of Tyria (60%). DS I think. I did delete a couple of characters as well. I can't explain the low mission count. Same here. It just doesn't seem right. Unless they are including Sorrows Furnace and the Titan quests - but they were QUESTS. Odd.

BTW 1 year old characters get a Birthday Present - which is a doll you can double click on and it becomes a miniature monster pet. DS has a mini- hydra

Oh I wondered what that was I got a mini Titan but haven't used it as I didn't know what it was Unlocking the new Mesmer skills was for PVP, but will probably get them with Steve anyway. By the way I see the henchies are still as dumb as ever if not more so, why does the healer henchie have to run into the middle of the fight to heal someone & get squished in the process Now gonna log on for a while tonight so might see you there
