360 - which game?

Ok I was given a gamecard for game and I'm expecting to use it tomorrow (Thurs)

My dilemma is what game to buy. I have a few 360 games tucked away for when I'm in the mood to start, complete or finish off - GoW, Assasins Creed, Orange box, viva pinata, overlord etc.

I've completed Fallout 3 and have re-started it again on a different route, my fave game to date :) I like the sandbox of Fallout 3.

I also like fps and enjoyed Farcry, FEAR on PC and HL2, ep 1 & 2 on the xbox.

So what are your views on:

Fable 2 - too short and not sandbox enough?

Oblivion Goty - crap combat, but good sandbox?

Left 4 dead - not enough maps, too repetative, too many muppets?

Farcry 2 - silly camp re-spawns, crap?

Let me know what u reckon on these u have played or are still playing please.

Do you like fairly open ended RPG's mate? If so Fable hands down. There is a lot there to keep you going and the story and acting are really good. Its nowhere near as sandbox as Oblivion and Fallout 3 though.

I would have said Oblivion as I am still playing it now after 100's of hours but its a bit marmite (fantasy Fallout 3 with worse combat). You'd be better off with the PC version anyway.

These aren't really an issue. The problem is it's a pretty throwaway game, not something you'd want to buy if you wanted a game to really sink your teeth into. I tend to put it on for an hour or so at a time, play though one co-op or mostly one VS map.

If you like Final Fantasy style games 'Lost Odyssey' is a very good game and a total timesink!

I struggle getting into GoW, odd as I like most fps.

Has anyone played Endwar?

Tree - is the 360 Oblivion that crap? The game of the year addition looked a good deal.

Fable 2, Farcry and perhaps Endwar looks like possibles.

Ended up getting Fable2 & Farcry2 in a deal for the same price as a new release :)

Fable looks ok, I expect once I get past the intro bit it actually lets you do stuff and farcry looks good so far too.

No mate, only that you can mod the arse out of the PC version, making it a better game depending on your point of view.

Pah, returned far cry 2.....crap.
Perfect example of amazing graphics and shite gameplay. Respawning checkpoints straight after u clear then, tedious driving around an empty landscape constantly, sluggish multiplayer :( Shame I loved far cry 1.

Fallout 3 has lots of travelling and the graphics are so so, but the difference is the landscape is populated and once u clear an area it doesn't re-spawn instantly.

playing Endwar instead :D

Not played it much to be fair, (started fallout 3 again ) but it seems good. I want to get to grips with it and then venture out into the multiplayer battles, that's what i got it for really as I liked the idea of what maps u win affecting the outcome on the multiplayer globe.

Did u try the demo Zed? try if u haven't will give u a good idea.
