After a weekend (ish) of playing some boardgames

Castle Ravenloft - Alot of fun, quickly turns from "Ohh this is a little easy" to "WE ARE GOING TO DIE", models are very good, colour coding helped me out quite alot and with lots of scenario's has a good replay value

Munchkin Quest - Good quality build on everything, monster slips felt abit poor after Castle Ravenloft, lots of replay with the two sided tiles, and alot of fun being munchkiny to people, played well with just the two of us, but I think would be even better with 3 or 4 players

Settlers Of Catan - Most played of the weekend, easy to learn, good fun, with 4 of us we ended up playing it 3 times (games lasted longer than I'd read about), and I do now want to go out and buy a copy

Wings of War - Another simple idea which was alot of fun to play, I splashed out on the deluxe edition with planes which did certainly add something but we all agreed it was hard to move stuff sometimes (something that would have been simple if they changed the angle on the edges from /-\ to \-/ so they could easily be picked up)

A good weekend of boardgames, in which we didn't get to play 3 of the one's we'd planned to cos I was a muppet and got food poisioning :/

Zed, I think it was you who mentioned Wings of War to me before, and good choice, I especially like the fact all the models are already fully painted for me :)

Only played the cardgame once, but it's the same style of stabbing munchkins in the back.

Not me in the vid, but seems to describe things so you can see it all

If they enjoy the card game though I'd reckon they will enjoy the boardgame

My copy of the game has the special rule that I can reroll any dice once per game. It applies only to me personally because it was the first ever copy signed by John Kovalic and he wrote that rule in for me.

Dominion. A game I must own this year.

We played some boardgames over XMAS and Dominion was the one we played the most (followed by Zombies)

Wings of war is great fun and works well with 3 or 4 a side :) More a board-wargame though i think.
