I'm tempted, really liked the first and the second one (second one more). Lets hope they've not messed up the formula.

almost certainly getting it. torn between PC (where it will probably be miles better) or PS3 (where i can play it with my mates who dont have decent gaming PCs). i might well get it for both :p

PC version is using Steam

- Steam and the PC version: - "will ship with Steamworks support at retail and online, including among other features, Achievements, Matchmaking, Leaderboards, Stats, and Cloud." (Steam News)
"we'll be using steam for matchmaking, anti-cheats, auto-updating and achievements. We'll also be using their steamcloud system which means you'll be able to save your profiles and saved games in steamcloud and access those from any PCs you play the game on." (Video Q&A session)

- Retail copies will require steam activation.

- Does not use Games for Windows LIVE software

- Is a Games for Windows game (this is different to GFWL, it is simply a tick of compliance)

- Supports DirectX 11, DirectX 10 and DirectX 9.0c.

- There will not be modding support at this stage, but it has not been ruled out for the future.

- Demo? Yes. Possibly in about a week from now (29th Jan).

- Dedicated servers are confirmed.

Blimey result... I guess I will order it afterall then.

I've heard the new bioshock is using GFWL, even the steam version, and hence I won't be buying that. Wrapping secure rom around GFWL and then around Steam is bound to cause problems, don't these iddiots see this. /rant

Get both Chick! AvP for MP, ME2 for the RPG itch. Yer GfWL is a pain but im starting to get used to it since the only game i play with it is Dawn of War 2

Im still waiting on my Pre-Order :\ Play let me down.. ordered it over a month ago too, bro ordered his on wednesday and he's got his (From Zavvi)

He says it's pretty atmospheric, all the classis sounds, motion trackers etc :) he said in the first 5 mins of the marine campaign he jumped a few times!

He says its pretty good :)

Yeah, gamesdomain gave AvP a prety bad review (sounds like a lot of the alien climbing bugs from the last one) on the plus side they are using steams security rather than secure rom or other licensing rubish. Multi-player is supposed to be fun and was an absolute blast with the previous one but sadly not a game seller.

ME2 on the other hand does sound good but hasn't really been on my radar and i've not played the first one. No multi-player doesn't really bother me.

Me2 is worth buying. Good dialogue, only minus point is the obvious console bits. AVP so far failing to impress on the marine mission, I will give the predator a go for a bit.

sorry for the thread hijacking but ME2 is awesome,except for the planet scanning parts (whoever came up with that needs shooting).

Multiplayer demo on the xbox is like the old pc version I used to fail at.....murder being the alien until you get used to the controls.

The sounds etc are spot on though.
