I'd say 9ft!

I sadly have no real knowledge of sea fishing spinning, but if in doubt go for the middle option. Where abouts do you go Cull?

I used to do a lot of fishing, coarse and sea, but alas now the only fishing I do is Fish Wrangler...

Pollack prefer a rock habitat, mackerel are shoal fish in open waters so the rod you get is dependent on the waters - for rocks best go with a shorter rod generally. I used to use a 10 footer but that was from a beach. The 9 footer would probably be the safest but check for rod strength and where the eyes are in relation to the rod itself.

tbh for the size of fish u are going for any spinning rod will do.

i use a hakspear corse fishing spinning rof for makie bashing and pollock spinning. light cheap tackle also so if u do get snagged its not going to hurt the wallet.

For pollock use jelly worms and makies use feathers (but thtas not spinning)

I could still use a feather rig on that rod tho? I'd love to beach cast, but my dodgy back and arthritis wouldnt hear of it and i believe a lot of spinning is in the wrist?

you could just remeber to have a wieght on it.

Spinning is all in the wrist until u start tying to make the lure look more liflike and start jerking the lure (iv never found this very succesfull tbh) so spin away :)
