Backup Software

Depends what your trying to backup really. The software Seagate supply with some of their bricks is great for regular backups of working folders etc, but won't be much use to backup say an sql server install.

I use Windows Home Server, but that runs on a .. separate PC (only turn it on when I want it to back up, and to access the files it also stores (has about 4TB space across 4-5 drives) backs up all our computers (so you can either retrieve specific files, or a complete image restore across the network using a recover CD)

If you've got less than 150GB to backup iDrive.com is worth a look. Offsite backup for $50 a year is good value and it works well too.

Dead Again, I need a Rez
Before this build I was using Acronis True Image to backup my 3 HDD.

But it doesnt seem to work well with Windows 7.

So was thinking of trying something else, Samsung gave me a copy of Norton Ghost with one of my SDD's. Is that any good?

Iv got 2 SDD's a 128GB and 256GB, plus a 2TB Western Digital HDD

Ghost is pretty much industry standard, it's more for making images to push out to machines than taking backups though as far as I know.
