Baldur's Gate character import/export

Can you export a BG1 character to BG2, then back again to BG1? or is it only a one-way import export?

Well, I don't have BG2 installed on my comp, and last time it tried, it wasn't happy. But, housemate does have it installed, so give me a shout on MSN, and i'll see if his comps free

i could load either up but i'd have to start a fresh char as i got rid of mine. Fighter Half orc called UGG

I've got BG 1 somewhere, CD version. I'd have to do a full install, as I remember I never went past the first chapter originally so I might be up for trying it if I can be drawn away from DAoC.

Sure Id be up for a game of either BG1 or BG2 online just set it up gimmie chance to patch and off we go ..

In fact I never got far in BG2 so would prefer that one online tbh but ill do either
