Battlefield 1942 MP Demo - OMFG

Has FINALLY been posted...

It's absolutely stunning. Imagine a 32 player online FPS, but one where you play an infantry man who can commandeer tanks, jeeps, landing boats, fighter planes, AA guns, Artillery, bombers, bunkers, gun emplacements, Aircraft carriers (!), etc, etc, etc and you've got an idea of the scope of B1942. Or just run around as one of the classes - scout (sniper) assault (grunt) medic, engineer or anti-tank. With the vehicles, some take up to 3 people to control - the bombers need a pilot, bombadier and gunner, for instance, and the tanks can be driven by one person with the other taking the machine gun to ward off fighters.

It's by far and away the best online MP FPS I've played without exception and although the MP Demo is 130mb download, I really, really can't recommend you DL it enough.

Simply awesome. Can't wait for the full version.

no idea, fella - there's tonnes of non-EA and Jolt type servers, so I guess you can go for a dedicated server at least.

hate to say it but the tarts right

bloody superb game...

just spent half an hour holding the US air strip on wake island, struggling to get our planes in the air coz of jap planes above , also pinned down by jap armour at the bridge... we finally got a couple of birds up, took out the jap zeros and bombed the armour on the bridge so our ground troops could break out in a jeep

good chap.. should be a shed load of fun

one of the things i like about it is it can be played seriously or for just pure comedy value theres nothing like getting an APC full of your allies driving them into the middle of an enemy infantry held area, telling em to 'GO GO GO' then nicking off pi55ing yerself laffing... ohhh i got some abuse for that

*troops inside APCs cant see out btw so are totally reliant on the driver and gunner *

Its damn good but theres a fuw things thats arent that good. Iv seen alot of clipping and jurking, you cant target at all with the sniper rifle. and the players gun models look like someones just put them togeather with matchsticks

BTW, troops in the back of the APC are healed and restocked.

The way to piss people off the quickest, is to get onto the bridge of the aircraft carrier and beach it right in front of the US shore defence guns
