Looking through the forums of my one time "life-stealing" MMO Neocron I noticed this little thing that Reakktor have moved onto developing.

Black Prophecy (my Firefox doesnt open this but IE does)

Now with a bit of luck they have learnt from how they fooked up NC (the bar-stewards) and have people who can do the job now.

Wishful thought No1: They make a bundle and begin work on an all singing all dancing Neocron 3 which blows the MMO world apart with its cyberpunk grit.

I was chatting to a guy who works on this yesterday. It's going to be a realtime space shooter MMO. Thing Wing Commander the MMO. It looks a lot like EvE though visually.

Yup that was my impression of the design.

I just hope they have a bloody good beta and don't launch with as many bugs as Neocron did (many of which are still in the game through 3 incarnations hehe).

I've signed for the beta anyway as I do have a soft spot for the company, as bugged as it was Neocrack brought me my best MMO experience.

Certainly looks good and I agree with the assumption above that graphically it looks close to EvE with a mixture of Jumpgate/Vendetta gameplay which I wish EvE would do, especially for the smaller ships but 3rd person for battleships and above.
will look forward to it. also does anyone know whats happening with Infinity?

I see it got released on Monday for Europe, going to download it and give it a whirl. Not played it since early closed beta last year.

Free to play and by a small company so you won't have seen it plastered all over the place. I'm d/ling to have a look as it's free.

I've had a go. Not really gripped me, just seems a bit unpolished and while it has lots of story elements set up it all seems a bit disjointed. Still in the 'story' missions at the start though, and I presume it goes into some kind of open world after that (I guess!), so will probably play some more to find out.
