Some mods will do this for you, for example Bartender4 in their options menu will have profiles, from which you can select which character you want your alt to look like, in this case my main.
I assume if youre using xPerl it should have something similar.
Not at home at the moment so doing it manually I've forgotten the folder locations but its possible.
