Conflict of Interest?

I'm not sure that there is one, but if one of the officers would like to be Treasurer, and hold the money for the Guild Hall fund that's fine by me.

The only requirements are:-
a) Officer
b) Keeping the money separate from your own
c) Posting donation updates in the GH fund thread.

Put you hand up if you are interested.
I'm happy to carry on, but it isn't how most small clubs are run (chairman & treaurer in one), so I thought I'd let you have a say on this ;)

i'd be happy enough to do this (presumably i *should* be an officer anyway? was meaning to ask about that :p)
i tend to play for at least a few hours every couple of days, and its very rare that i cant log on for at least a little while every day.

and i have a spare character slot i could use for it too, that i'm unlikely to be using for a while.

Full CUK Members are no longer automatic officers as it's not necessary and clutters the G window :)

You can invite offline people -- so no one has to wait long for an invite.

Officers have no other role in such a teeny guild.

Likewise, a teeny guild doesn't need a separate treasurer. I don't think there can be a conflict of interest between the GM and getting his guild a guild hall, can there?

What else are you going to spend the money on, anyway? :)

I think you guys are currently doing a bit too good a job of running the guild -- need to calm down a bit :)

I lost officer status last night when I was reinvited to fix my name. Happy for it to stay that way. I'd also recommend bumping Zed down for now.

That way we'll have more room in the G window to see everyone that's online without scrolling. Which is what actually matters, innit? :)

/me makes a note to get promoted to GM asap :p

but yeh, happy enough for DS to stay in control. main reason i offered, is that i know he's using inland revuenue as a (semi-)real char now, rather than just for storing the money.

Ive got two spare char slots, I'll make a money mule when I get home. No Worries.

OK. Appreciate it's easier to keep track if the cash stays on a single mule (as opposed to mixed in with your own money, as it now is for IR).

Hopefully, the hall will be bought soon & all can return to normal :)

The money is currently sitting on Monkey Dust, as he's the character I'm not playing atm. The money should be safe on a character, as they do not CURRENTLY time-out (although ANET reserve rights on this in the future - but it will be announced in advance.)

If I'm playing low level missions with people I'll use my least powerful char, which is currently Inland Revenue. I had already moved the money over to avoid any fubars. Obviously someone who had a dedicated mule available, but plays regularly might be even safer.

The officers don't currently have much to do. This would be one thing. In the shorter term officers may have to make themselves available to play with trial or pre-trial guilders so we can get enough experience of them to have a meaningful vote. I'll start another thread about that to get opinions.

So if anyone is particularly keen and has a spare character you can be made an officer for this purpose.
