I suggest we move all conversations to this thread, to form a mighty, all-encompasing mega-thread of supreme awesomeness. A fitting tribute to Diablo 3, methinks.

Limiting it to 3 players max in an online game would be a wise move also. We need to think of the 5-10% of people who still have to play on dial-up.

The diabloiii.net forums have a bit about the debate on the new spangly colour scheme. I have to admit that some of the de-saturated screens look a bit more atmospheric than the originals, but as only a limited amount of screens have been released they could all be missing the point that later levels might have a much darker tone anyway.

The new colour scheme is being refferred to as 'WoW-gayness' lol

Well I can see the argument for gothic grey and some of the altered screen shots look quite good but the Blizzard art looks better to me.

i like the blizz stuff. yeah, so its meant to be a dark and nasty world... that doesnt mean you shouldnt be able to see stuff :p
also, i happen to have a D2 cd case in front of me. if you look at the screenshots on the back of that, they're pretty bright and colorful too, you know?

I'm going to start a forum campaign to demand it looks and plays exactly like diablo 2.

It should, infact, BE diablo 2. none of this updates graphics rubbish. Noen of this fancy high-resolution sounds. i know what i like and i like what i know.

They're up to 30,000 signatures now!

Given that they're bound to sell at least 2 million copies and around 95% of the people who signed the petition will buy the game anyway, you can see how Blizzard would be really inclined to redo the graphics.

The haters could just turn the brightness down on there screen, maybe rub sand and dirt in there eyes and smear there screen with dog poo to get the level of darkness and "atmosphere" they require :)

The sad thing is some have said that they don't want a D3 just another expansion to D2....wankers.

Anyway Blizz will do what they want, I'm happy that there will be a D3 in the tradition of the series.
