Diablo 3 Character Names

Hi,

I was wondering. Is there a way to ensure that people that join the D3 beta or get the game on day 1 don't pinch a character name that I intend to use (ones I'm currently using in D2 for example)? I couldn't see anything on www.battle.net.

Any ideas?

my guess is it'll be like starcraft.

so you might be epiphany, but so will (potentially) hundreds of other people - you'll also have a number (eg. epiphany546), that will only be displayed in situations where its needed (eg. first adding someone to freinds lists)
