I really, really like the way they're thinking of both the content and implementation/player experience in crafting, through artisan NPCs doing this not having characters having to learn craft skills, artisans making items, artisans changing items like socketting, keeping a degree of randomness whilst adding in some player choice, levelling up artisans with useless loot you give 'em that takes no time out from adventure, the visible changes as they get better so players feel they're changing things in meaningful ways.
