DS lite screen

I wasnt going to fork out �100 before i know about the new screen.

Its brighter i know that but one of the problems with the DS you couldnt take it outside on a sunny day and play it as you had to squint at the screen.

So is the Lite solve this problem?

Well I've got one and it's very nice but to be honest if I'm out on a sunny day I'll be drinking booze in a beer garden

I can play mine outside on a sunny day but the only time I have was playing brain age which is simply black on white so perhaps maybe not the best thing to judge against.

Considering you were going to get one imported I'd say you bite the bullet get a new one and you'll never look back. Longer battery life, brighter screen, clearer sounds, lighter, smaller, looks nice, you can't really go wrong.

I've got a DS and was surprised the other day when I took it outside and stopped trying to shade it from the sun and let the sun shine directly on it. It was actually better (although colours were a little faded). With the sun shinging directly on the screen it's like having an even better backlight... Just angle it so the reflection doesn't hit you in the face.

It was quite a revolution as I've been deliberately trying not to let the sun shine on it, now I think I'll deliberately try to do it.
