Guys my Corp is UKC-E (and UKC, for 0.0 space). It is a UK only corp with 130 very active members. The have people that will kit you out and train you. Nearly every night there is something going on. The are based in the Molden Heath area and are part of the alliance. The are also at war with a Russian alliance (RA) which makes for great PvP and co-ordinated battles with dozens of ships.

Tips would be to start is do the agent missions, and some ratting and train in the learming skills (this reduces future training times).

Finally if anyone needs a hand or cash some me an evemail in game = Rozel Bay and I will send you some over. How about Monday we do some ratting, or try for a complex?

My Corp is also taking a freighter from Molden Heath to 0.0 space (about 40 jumps most of which are hostile), and escorting this with about 30 ships with a chance of getting ambushed by RA is great fun. When you get there you can save a jump clone and have quick access to 0.0 space. Anyone can come along even , and new guys with frigites are vital for scoting ahead or if we get in a battle for Warp Jamming and target painting RA ships for our battleships

well, i would do, but i have my own war to fight :p
we have an outpost thingy (with like 30 PoSs) in EC- (just by torrinos), and from what i understand ASCN arnt too happy about it.
showed Gottaa my ickle raven last night, i'll show him some other cool ships at some point ;)
Its so nice turning up at a station, and finding the hangers chock full of T2 mods and ships for me to use :p
was looking at an alliance map last night (http://www.eve-extra.com/wiki/wiki/index.php/Resources:EVE_Alliance_Map) - you guys are in my old home :) i was in Xetic, and we 'controlled' the entire southeast (immensea, tenerifis, impass, feyth, omist), with curse and stain alliances on either side.... ahh, good days... :)

Well I'm in a frigate, but the idea of a convoy rely on anything I do or see ahead of them sounds a little too advanced as most of my time at the mo is still spent mining (Although after advice from Zeus last night going to start doing some agent missions as well now).

I Know I won't be staying in the corp I'm in, but I want to give back the money the guy that recruited me gave me and then once I'm sure I'll be staying and with a little more experience under my belt I'll find another corp that's english.

I'm in game amazingly as : Gottaa so hope to see more of these mighty ships around :)

well the place i met you at last night (isanamo? something like that) is on the route between my alliance's forward base and my corps main supply depot, so i tend to be around the place quite often :p
if you want to check out my corps website, its at www.mechwars.at/iii/, though i'm not sure how much of the forum you'll have access to as we've had to secure it a bit mre recently, what with all the pos and alliance stuff.
like i said last night, if you need money just ask. i can get plenty. one of my accounts has been busy earning money the last 6 months i havnt been playing (i pay for the account, one of my mates uses it for tech-2 production).

Well got a new shield booster and larger cargo storage, first off couldn't fit the booster due to CPU usage, then a little fiddling and I was off, imagine my suprise when I turned on the shield and 2 seconds later I got a "Capacitor Drained" message ..... So I guess that shield will be for a larger ship and I'm back with my civilian capacitor.

I'm back in Opio now, but not sure where I'll be now cos I went back to the place I'd been mining for the last 2 days to find only two scordite rocks left and the 40 or so odd Veldspar had all gone :( If all of Oipo asteroid fields have gone that way I'll need to find somewhere new to go. Oh and I need to find a level 1 agent, cos the one in Oipo is level 3

you still in your starting ship mate? if so, when i get home tonight i'll find you a present ;) (can get you either an actual ship, or a blueprint if you want to make stuff yourself :))
the thing to remember is, that the noob frig is absolute crap compared to even the most basic of the built-frigates.

Not in the newb one, I'm in a Navatis (i think), 2 gun slots, 2 medium slots, 2 ickle slots and now with the cargo expanders 328(ish) m*3 space :)

And having looked again at my training, it'll be longer than a few days till I get to the cruiser, the frigate training alone I've now worked out will be around 3 days :(

heh, sounds possible.
btw, i dont think you can get haulers on trial accounts, they did it to slow down the ebay sellers.
must admit, i dont know the gallente frigates too well (apart from to be able to say my Taranis rocks, and the Ares is only good for speed :p but that doesnt help you much...). now, if you were caldari i could give you a run down on what's what. i might bring some little ships out to play with you at some point actually.

Well I've only been going for 3 or 4 days, nothing to stop me starting again with alot more knowledge and I don't think I'd me a million miles from where I am now :)

The nice thing of the Gallente is there supposed to be good at drones, and I like drones so it seemed a good idea :)

oh yes, gallente ships are great with drones.
the 'rax and the dominix are beasts.
but if you really want drones.... see what information you can dig up on Carriers, and Fighters. ;)

Looking at the Gallente Cruisers there appears to be one, one level before the Thorax which is the Vexor that has a larger cargo bay, more drone space, and more slots to heavy/medium/light energy usage than the Thorax ... yet it's earlier in the training line.....

Assuming I'm not making an obvious mistake the Vexor is the one I think I'll get and leave the Thorax

WoW, well be longer than I thought to get to cruiser, my guess was way off, having spent the 1 day to get frigate to 3, I thought to get frigate 4 I'd need 2 days, as up until then everything seemed to double in time. Nope, 5 days to learn frigate 4 !!

So I'm gonna get my learning skills up a little bit more first and whatever stat it is that the frigate skill uses then try again, which I think is perception.

Now I guess I should see if having Frigate 3 means I can get a nicer frigate even though I only just brought a new frigate yesterday morning !

you'll be able to fly a tristan i think, though for mining its not an improvement (the tristan is a combat ship, the imicus is more focused on mining).
It takes me near 2 weeks to learn frigate 5 (not that you'll need to bother with that for a long long time - its pretty much only needed to fly interceptors and assault frigates) and i have massive amounts of learning skills and a couple of implants :p

Found a very useful spreadsheet that looks like it will help me organise my learning a little more. If only the macro worked in openoffice I'd be able to update it through the on-line character thing with the click of a button !

should have said before...
i dont know if you've checked out the eve forums much (i guess you have a bit to get the skills spreadsheet), but the people on there are generally some of the nicest community i've seen from an mmo - generally very helpful and such.

I'll read it tomorrow but certainly sounds like a plan, I'm finally getting away from mining and back to an agent, and going to work on some level 1 missions for a change.

I must say was afraid every second I was travelling at one point today when I went to pick up an ammo blueprint, went into 0.5 space which is the lowest I've gone and had up to 8 red things on the radar (red in the bottom right) which I've always assumed was bad and 2 what looked like skull and crossbones.

that means they have a low sec rating, but not vastly low. (if it was very low, theyd be blown up for entering secure space.)
for as long as you're in 0.5 and above, you'll be fine. Concord forces will respon there. they might not save your ship, but they'll sure as hell make your enemy regret his actions ;)
in 0.1-0.4, theres gate/station guns - these will help you, but wont necessarily save you. dont count on them.
at 0.0, its a free for all. only go there in something that can both look after itself, and that you can afford to lose. (my cerberus fits the first of these, but not currently the second... :p)
