All done, got the platinum trophy over the weekend at roughly 100 hours play time.
After maxxing out everything I just wish there was more to do.

All I can say is, roll on FFXIII Versus, whatever the hell it is!

Ok I just finished chapter 11 of this last night and now it wants me to fly back to Cocoon. Do I just stay in Gran Pulse for now and work on my jobs by basically going back through the areas I been in?

You can do that, until you fly back to Cocoon you still have the freedom to go back to Gran Pulse and farm CP, gil or just do missions.

Once you go back to Cocoon, you will have to complete chapter 12 but you will then get more opportunities to return to Gran Pulse and Eden at the beginning and end of chapter 13.

I recommend levelling up your jobs, weapons and accessories as much as you can before attempting the final boss.

I'm really stuck on Sazh 's focus. Aparently I need to do combo moves to kill the focus but I can't seem to do it. Even Vanille seems to do raise it's bar more than him doing damage but as she's healing alot can't be attacking all the time....

any help ?

Sanch just found out that Vanil marked his son and his son has just completed his focus and turned to ice.

I believe that is the one in the amusement park?

I think I used a Syn/Rav set up for the basic attacks (as both chain bonuses and strengthening allies are the 'yields to' conditions to expand the gauge) and when it looked dicey health wise try Sazh as Rav and Vanille as Med (so you can still amass chain bonuses while healing).
