The first month is free, you don't have to even put in your payment details to play that first month.

Is it worth it? Well I've found it dire, but others seem to love it - so it's probably worth taking the punt and see how you find it.

If it was digital download I'd be trying it tonight, as it is I'll be trying Rift instead, I did try LOTRO but just didn't get into it, felt very small (which is odd)

Have a look at Allods if you haven't already, seems like a good f2p mmo.

Well if you do start playing, we're on the Cerberus Server, we've got a ClanUK linkshell (chat channel) going, and we may be able to get you in the guild we've joined.

Thinking of moving to an EU server from US (non legacy though considering moving to Ragnarok, which is the single EU legacy server I believe - thinking legacy players are more likely to stick around medium to long term).


Any advise from folks on state of EU servers and communities ? I think Cerberus, Moogle, Odin and Shiva where the four 2.0 servers ? Prolly looking at one of them or Ragnarok.



Anyone have any contact details for any of the FFXI crew ? Vigilia, Scudley, Feyla, Sorran, Moo, Ritter etc ? Lovely folk.

Not really played for a few weeks, not sure if i'm going to bother subscribing... if I do though, could well be up for a server move to a less dumb FC! Will watch this space.

Aye noticed you not been about, did you having a falling out with Fhey or something?

Cad just has Praet to do now before everything unlocks and pooing myself about going CC was bad enough.

If you havent moved yet I would advise against it as all NA/EU servers are hosted in Monteral, Canada. So you wont see any improvements on lag etc.

When the Japanese can get their asses into gear and release a european datacentre that be the time to move.

Been tied up with work/other commitments for the past couple of weeks, subscribed but not played, sounds like i've missed out on a fair bit
