The above file is currently (and has been for some time) in my
/local settings/temp folder and is always in use so I can't delete it (in the normal way)

Anyone know what this is for offhand without me listing everything I have installed (intentionaly)

I don't run any p2p software except icq, or any other addins like that, that are normally associated with spyware etc.

hmm

I do use a logitech keyboard but havn't installed any drivers for it, mouse is MS

I just wondered if it was something to do with adverts because of its name ...

It cost 20 a couple of years ago is all I can remember atm, hasn't got any fancy extra keys for launching aps.

I have a logitech keyboard, and grokster loaded, and I don't have the file either, I also am using XP, so I'm afraid I have no idea.

Try making a system restore point, and deleting the file, see what doesn't work.

Thanks all

In that case it shouldn't be in my temp dir and I'll get rid of it :)

edit
if you right click on it and choose properties
then look at version
under Company it states: Backweb

sounds dodgy too to me

Well done for your original deduction roch (or search engine traverse ;) )

Still can't explain what it does mind as I havn't installed any logitech drivers (why do I need them for a standard keyboard anyway?... maybe its built into the winxp ones?
Or why when I log in as a different user to delete the file, it 'spawns' again when I log back in.

*shrug* sort of put my mind at rest anyway thanks, won't be reformatting just yet then
