i cant really see that being a brilliant plot line for a film.... They cant be fighting each other, that'd be wrong (no matter how much they're philosophies differ....), and with 2 of them no enemies would stand much of a chance...

DC has done this plot loads of times in comix and imho it never worked. Batman was just a well trained physical specimen while Superman had "Super" powers an could punch holes in steel. Think about it. All Superman has to do to win is grab Batman, fly out of the atmosphere and its all over. Superman vs Green Lantern would be better.

more imortantly to me was the the titbit of information down the bottom of the article:

Petersen is attached to a number of other projects at Warner Bros. These include the Orson Scott Card sci-fi series "Ender's Game" and "Ender's Shadow" as well as the epic "The Trojan War." He said his interest in those projects continues.

Ender's game is a brilliant book for anyone questioning the morality of logic. I hope they stick to the chillingly objective plot and don't soften the film to appeal to a frankly stupid American audience.

You bloody heathens, Batman vs Superman HAS been done before in the graphic novel "the dark knight returns" set in the future and in the end......no I'm not gonan say who wins but it was a bloody good GN.

You know, this COULD work if they follow the way it was handled in the graphic novel "The Dark Knight Returns".
For anyone who has never read it, basically Batman beefs himself up by wearing a cybernetic batsuit with tons of modifications and in built weaponry.
Plus he manages to egt hold of a chunk of Kryptonite to even up the odds a little....hey when you are a mere mortal taking on Superman you take whatever you can :)

one of the funniest Batman/Superman moments i ever read was in the first issue of the latest run of JLA, the Justice League has gathered at it's base and are about to begin a meeting (about how to save the world as usual) when they notice Batman is not there, Superman remarks that he mustn't of arrived yet as he cant hear his heart beat anywhere in the base..........

at that point there is a chuckle from above them as Batman drops out of the shadows and while rubbing his hands together and remarks "haha, good the device works"

A later issue returns to Batmans paranoia concerning people with actual superpowers when his computer files are stolen and his secret plans for disabling the worlds most powerful heroes are actually used.

I'd put my money on Batman, he's "beaten" Superwussman before, and he could probably do it again ;)

But then again, I always respect human super-heroes more than boring "oooh look at me, i can fly, and I'm bullet proof" characters. You've gotta be intelligent, and actually think if you're human and want to survive, which i respect more than tits with magic rings, or who can shoot laser bolts out of their ears :D

Batman is called 'The Dark Knight' and on top of that he looks hard as ******* nails.

Superman is a fairy.

But Batman only wins by cheating if he uses Kryptonite. They could get shrunk down and go in to that city in the bell jar thats part of Krypton that survived - Superman is normal there. Then it would be a fair fight.
