Got a grand to spend but not a clue what to buy. I was going to get a 770 gtx card, but I'm not sure now with the radeon 290s now out. Does anyone now where I can buy a decent pre built gaming pc from? Doesn't matter to much about a monitor as I already have one, but if you can get one thrown in even better :). Also I would like an i7

I've seen some really good deals on eBay, has anyone bought one off there or am I asking for trouble?

Thanks in advance

check out overclockers.co.uk and Scan for good prebuilts. My Scan is superb and Sorontars behemoth is awesome...

I can't fault my Overclocker's build and if you know roughly what you want but it doesn't match any of their core stock just ask about a custom build. The build cost was peanuts in the grand scheme of things and you get their warranty.

Their core options are pretty tasty though.

I go on the notion that building and selling computers well enough to continually make money is much harder today than yesterday so if any company is selling on ebay and has been for a year (like the one in that ebay link) and has full positive feedback from over 200 people then they are very good at what they do.

So i see no risk in buying from them, they probably want your business more than you want the computer.

Is the motherboard the best ever times a million? Well its a solid motherboard with great features.

Would i personally like to know the RAM & PSU manufacturer before i parted with the cash? ideally.. yes but only to better know exactly what i'd be getting.

Its a damn powerful computer they are offering, and the price is great considering it will arrive where you live and you just plug it in.

edit - just spotted you're in Manchester bud, the overclockers.co.uk company is based in Newcastle under Lyme and its basically like Toys R Us but for computers they'll happily throw you some free knowledge on a professional level about what the pluses and minuses about specific components if you fancy a little trip. If you want you could walk out the place with one ready to go too.
