Guild Wars 2 Collectors Edition

Pegasus Belgar

Red Bull gives me wings!
I tried the last two beta weekend and have been fun.

Still no Asura or Sylvari availble yet though for this weekend.

Looking for an MMO to start but the last few have been short lived due to not enough content. Lately its too fast getting to max lvl then not enough to do (constant pvp gets old fast when your team mates are clueless) so you get bored.

Is this worth investing in as I am even thinking EQ2 was not so bad as at least it kept me occupied a few years?

Well like the original guild wars you are not tied to any subscription so having played through the last through beta weekends I find it an interesting game where you can easily pick up and put down.
I love the spell/weapon abilities where one ability while wielding a sword is completely different as if you were wielding a 2h staff.

Its colourful, plays fluidly well and lots of events and things to do. the main human city is HUGE I got lost several times.

http://www.arena.net/blog/help-us-stress-our-servers-on-june-27

We were very pleased with how our servers performed during our second Beta Weekend Event, but we want to gather additional data on how they operate under load before the next one.

Thats where you come in.

All players who have pre-purchased Guild Wars 2 are invited to participate in our upcoming stress test. This four-hour test event will run on Wednesday, June 27th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. PDT (GMT-7).

We wont wipe characters for this event, so if you played in our previous betas, you can pick up right where you left off. All we need you to do is log in and have funleave the stress to us!

loads. the world is huge, and if the rest of the game is as packed as the starter zones then ... think of a very large number.

one thing that really miffed me in sw:tor was the wide expanse of ... nothing ... felt like I used half my time on a speeder ...

gw2 doesn't need mounts because you virtually bump into the next "hotspot" while still dealing with the first one ... at times I thought they even was a bit too close. a lot of the times I didn't even realise I was just round the corner from the next one tho.

and anybody that has been to kedge ... underwater combat without having to worry about water breathing!

Your opinion is worthless....
I didnt bother to play yesterday, now waiting for the release as I have two classes in mind that i am going to play ;-) plus on Blacktide it seems we own all the pvp zones! so no pvp going on lol

bah Git, you pvp monkey ... they all have access to pvp, but it's a box of it's own ... bit like daoc. What I like tho, is rather than getting stuck with a enemy that lolstops you each day it shifts which world is fighting you based upon how good you are

Even I was surprised at how easy it is to get into the pvp at level 10 (you get bumped upto 80 for pvp) ... even managed to take a fort, even if we didn't hold it :p

Have been on Ruins of Surmia for the betas but a lot of spanish (or I think they spanish) so wasn't too chatty (or rather chat that I could understand) so a bit undecided what world to pick come live ...

Doggin' at a spot near you
Realy enjoyed this weekend even though limited play time ..... Damn you kids !!! :) Me and a friend went on Pikey Square Server, as our last server was too crap to make the cut lol, tried an engineer and am sooo glad they finally fixed them, awsomely shinney Turrets are now worth having as they're quicker to move around, more damage, ect.
Some nice 3 way battles too. :)
P.s I love having a char that looks like Stitch I just wish they had blue skin lol, bonus was people kept on missing me when I hid in tall grass lol

Chick

Cartwheel RIGHT
So i am torn between this, or TSW as a "next game to waste 40 quid on and go back to Y".

How 'fun' and 'accessible is it? I'm getting a bit old for Eve-like progression, and would like something fairly relaxing to play with my GF once diablo wears thin.

and does it run on underpowered (HD4500 gfx) laptops ?

tia :)

Well Chick, I've tried TSW and did like the story and the atmosphere very much, and I wouldn't have to ponder about picking up a copy ... if it wasn't for GW2.
And if GW2 wasn't so imminent I might of bought both, but I am fairly certain that getting TSW now would be pointless, as once GW2 comes out I'll be not going outside for the next 6 months :p

I got this a couple beta's back but haven't had much time to play and none at all last beta. Are we having a Cuk guild when its released?

Tried PvP 3 times on Blacktide, not actually run into anyone that's why i was thinking there would be certain servers more into pvp, i did play the original GW so i know it's a pvp centric game, was just baffled that i couldnt find a fight haha!
