Help HL2:E2 problems

Dead Again, I need a Rez
Has anyone completed the game? Cuz it keeps crashing at 3 different places for me, and aparently this has happened for alot of people since the new patch.
Wondered if those who completed it might be having the same problem at these areas now.

This is the error msg im getting "The instruction at "0x12ef8f3f" reference memory at "0x0e3ef3c0". The memory could not be "read"."

All the crashes seem to be looking closely at some npc, and the last crash is stopping me from getting any further in the game.

Nothing to big, not plot related anyway but SMALL GAMEPLAY SPOILERS POSSIBLE!!!!

Heres the First one. Right after the antlion chase you drop into a tunnel if you look at the medic lying there it crashes only way to get past is to turn and face the wall and strafe past.

Second after getting to White Forest just insides a group of npcs talking and behind that behind the fence is one npc doing some welding if i get to close to the npcs talking it crashes cuz of the guy in the background.

Third after being sent to do something you need to crawl through a vent theres fighting on the otherside, and the game crashes before you see anything. Im guessing the culprit npc is just to the left or right when you look cuz that can making it crash too.

I completed it fine, but that was a while ago, not sure how that relates to more recent patching. Not sure there's much I can suggest as a fix either, my last PC couldn't run Ep1 more than a few seconds and I had to wait to play it till I got my latest rig.

I had no problems whatsoever.

I know its dull, but have you updated your display driver recently?

Its been fixed someone at Valve posted this on the main thread and i just got a email saying its been fixed.

There was a problem in some rendering code that runs when the inside of certain characters' mouths are visible. That's why it was only occurring in certain areas. It was a regression from a previous update that changed the model rendering code to add functionality for pure servers.
