As much as i want to see the end, getting there has never felt so good.

I almost want Walter in the very last scene to just say "My people need me.. i must go" look up, and float off into space.

It would have still been worth watching the whole thing.. unlike YOU!!

*Looks at LOST and shakes fist*

Btone

The Nice Chimp
i want it to end by hank catching him alone, Walt looks at him and says " we live for the one , we die for the one" then hanks shoots him from the shadows :)

Two episodes to go now. I'm not sure I breathed once during the last episode - that was intense TV! 5 per month to Netflix has more than paid for itself, to have the new episode of BB there waiting for me in the morning is wonderful - no more having to avoid spoilers for half a year till the DVD is out!!

Unless it completely drop the ball in the final two episodes - i'd put this show side by side with "The Other Show" as the best US show I've had the pleasure of watching.

I think we got away with it.

Any thoughts on the planned spin off? Not living in the US has kept me quite oblivious to the fact that a lot of the others characters in the show are also comedy actors, chat show hosts and otherwise quite recognisable "people off the telly".

I mean to me Saul is great.. can peform his role well enough to sucessfully do the very american sitcom style of "funny.. serious.. funny" screentime without it ever seeming insulting. I can't think of why i wouldn't want to watch it.

Incase anyone doesn't know of spin off, info here

I am a bit ashamed to say I have never seen even a clip of Breaking Bad or indeed The Wire! Worth downloading in bulk and watching then? Longmire has finished and I am all caught up with Under The dome. About half way through Chuck, staying with it coz its funny and Strahovsky (Shame she aint got Miranda Lawsons arse in real life though) is in it. Need something new (as in new to me) to watch.

I wouldn't want them to do a half an hour sitcom style spinoff. If they kept it in tone with Breaking Bad then yes please :)

I'd say try Breaking Bad first.
'The Other Show' is amazing but it's a lot, lot harder to get into.

worried it might be that too - just one-off episodes about various different 'unusual' cases that saul's had to deal with....

Last 2 episodes of season 5 to go, gutted that its coming to an end. Amazing TV, Bitch!

Glad you enjoyed it.

Strangely enough I'm about halfway though Chuck (see one of your early posts in this thread) it's fun, I like it....it's not brilliantly written but the characters are fun and the plots are entertaining - and it ironed out a few issues the first season had (Morgen and Ellie go from being annoying/bitchy to both be loveable). And Captain Awesome is topless at least one every episode :)

And Strahovsky for us Mass Effect II nerds! Breaking bad though... possibly THE best written TV show I have encountered. Each episode like an onion, there is so many layers to it. Like Lost, they make you change your moral allegiance week in, week out. They get you rooting for the bad guy one minute, hating him the next. Its comic, tragic, gritty and light as a feather all at the same time. Just masterful writing. Wonder what the spinoff is going to be like - apparently all of the regular cast members will be in it at some point even though its a prequel of sorts.
