Yeah and if it isn't this it's that awful grime London hip hop chav drivel.

Her live performances are shocking at the moment, but she has an interesting voice. I haven't heard the full album, but Video Games and Blue Jeans seem ok.

I quite like The Pierces - who I believe had some chart success last year, well I saw the album featuring in the high in the album charts in HMV, so i'm guessing they got some radio play.
Although their last album wasn't a patch on the previous one.

I like You & I by The Pierces which is the one you don't like as much.

They remind me of The Mamas and the Papas.

Well 'Kissing you Goodbye' is pretty much 'California Dreamin' with different lyrics!
Personally I find 'Thirteen Tales....' has more varity than 'You & I' which seemed alittle safe/bland in comparison.

I'm currently thrilling over Mary Hampton. She reminds me of early Pentangle, Bert Jansch and Jaqui Mcshee, with a lot of jarring, haunting and downright spooky ambience. There is a bleakness in it that I find strangely comforting. She wont be everyones cup of tea but I find her a very exciting artist.

The first one is one of her quirky own, the second one is a bog standard trad folk song with her own slant on it.
