Learning Skills Revamp

wowbumgayfagsccp

Its probably a good change tbh. Getting decent training time is a high priority, just very boring which has hindered player growth in EVE.

Its still a good idea to get basic learn attributes to V, just after you got the advanced to III or IV .

Dont bank on this going live yet though. The thread on the eve forums hasn't been up long. This change will screw over quite a few people.

Not worth doing learning skills then for the time being i guess. This change seems a bit meh tbh.

Same impact as the new 'you start with ~ 800k Sp' change, i'd put money on it go live.

My favorite "i've wasted 2 months of my life" thread was by a 2 month old char who had earned ~100mil, 8.0 cal navy faction, and 1.2 mil skill points, saying he'd quit as his time in game was pointless..... OR, 35mil+ SP vets 'demanding 800k sp'. Fuck OFF..... Both of you

imho The first couple of weeks probably put off so many 'casual' players where you can't even do a level 1 mission without getting your ass handed to you.

Making the start a little easier helps this, you then have the constraints of learning and understanding the universe, and earnig money, rather than havin to understand those, a skill system, remember to train stuff, find skill books, blah blah blah. The game's still not goin to be ridiculously easy to get your head around, adn alot of people will still leave within the free 14 days, but it gives 'players' a better go.

Thoguh the 800ksp thing lets you make a kick-arse Suicide-kestrel Alt.... :D

Well all i can say is to make sure people know to hold off learning to V.

Somones gonna be pissed. Friends acct im looking after with fanny, asked to have all his advanced learning to IV while he was away. Ouch :(

Yay Larg!

Well, I've gotten all my learning basics to V and elites to IV now, oh well - what about the new stuff, any skills we should learn so we can fit it from the off?

actually that is the fairest way to do it.
the issue with giving 800k to new people is it means that people have wasted time. (for example. if someones on 400k SP now having been playing for a month, they'll then be behind people that start with 800k.). whereas to simply give 800k to everyone would be fair, and still help the new people lots more than the old. (for an old person, it'll give them like 2 level 5 skills, tops. for a new person, it'll get them into a cruiser at least if not a BS.
