It's not that much more complex, mate. At it's most basic you can click a unit and click an enemy to attack - same as Warcraft 3. To do more complex manouvers and flanking tactics, it get's a bit more complex, but if you have even the most basic understanding of these kinda things you'll be fine...

Just starting playing the demo last night. It pains me to say it as its a game that will put money in pipers pocket but its great. Graphics wise the reviews/screenshots dont do it justice and even a FPS gibbon like me can put together some have decent attacks... im looking forward to digging in at me castle and getting a whooping from Piper and DD .. I also plan to strut around in a dress moaning about scottish rebels and chucking the occasional mincer out of me castle windows for added realism.
Ohhh and pleeeeease tell me Piper that there is a scenario when you can sack medieval york.. and then go on to torch pontefract and bradford

Get into a corner or back up against the wall (phnah phnah) - then arrange your spearmen in ranks of 3 in a protcetive screena round your other troops.
Cavalry ahve bascically no hope against ranked spears (you get a defence bonus for any ranks over 3 btw - but you might have trouble protecting them all)
Use your archers,xbows to keep the lousy horse archers at bay and just let saladdin and the horsey boys hit your spearwalla nd suffer.
Can counter attack and break saladin with your GG boys - if you kill saladin you will rout his army, just make sure your own king doesnt get snaffled.
The english troops are higher valour, morale and better equipped than the saracens - so they can take some hefty punishment - just dont let yourself get outflanked as your troops will panic and break - and then you're toasty teacakes.

I think it's out now...was trying to play the English campaign earlier on, and managed to lose most of my royal knights against the Welsh :/...think I need some practice - it's very different from sc. The mixture of turnbased and real time is pretty cool though
I'll definitely buy it if a lot of people want to give it a go online, although war3 is taking up most of my rts time atm
