Mentoring or powerleveling with a twist

The twist being that higher level players that choose to mentor a lower level player can only use the skills available at that level, although they can still use their normal equipment etc.

Sounds quite useful and an interesting approach to the power leveling problem.

On useful aside is:

"The Mentors and Apprentice will receive experience, loot, and quest credit as if the Mentor were the same level as the Apprentice."

meaning that if there is some piece of chest-only loot you were after (Berik's sword of thunder anyone?) then you can try and get it by mentoring a newb back in SH.

It will be going into Test in the next update, and won't be going to the loive servers for 2 more updates, so tonight might be a bit soon to try it Cath :)

They have said that they could release a beta version into live in the next update so fingers crossed.

Hopefully if you can still use all your equipment etc you will still be hitting and deflecting (ie attack and AC still the same) at the same rate.

I see so many positive guildy things that could come out of this. Last couple of nights grouping with Azaghal it was a struggle trying to find giants that were green including those in the crater. For some guildies like Cathral (23 brigand?) it would be godsend to get that alt up to the required level to get him involved in some of the nicer stuff to do.
