Mod8 should finally be dropping tomorrow and will have the Shroud fix already applied. Apparently hirelings should be turned on when it hits as well but that's not 100%.

Btw where has everyone pissed off to? ;)

I'm still playing on the odd days of the week...playing a Fighter/Cleric \o/

Not seen Jett on for a while is this a new character? What lvl, name?

Zed and I have been tootling around with his 32 pt lowbie and if hirelings drop today then if 3 of us are around the right level we could form a 6 group.

I've been missing for a bit... just kind of got sidetracked with other things... didn't realise it had been so long, i'll pull my finger out and get back in game this weekend.

Jett, Readon ..(and anyone else who fancies taking the trial up)..... make sure you make a new character up and take it through the NPE. A great effort by Turbine to make 1st level character feel as though they are part of something bigger.

Thumbs up from me.

Agree m8. A nice flaming longsword after the intro quest. :)

The new starting intro is very nicely done.

Going to re-start...if I have time I will re-roll tonight before my lan session.

My other 'mess around' character was only 1/1. I have been trying a few of the others and all seem fun to play.

Now we have the ole DnD 3.5 edition dilema...do I stick with a pure-ish class like Fighter and have just one or two levels of another or do I go half-half.

Not sure an 8/8 will be overall as good as a 15/1, but then it should be fun trying and see how it works.

A tanking fighter?Human?

If human there's a great 16th level pure build and the 18th level enhancements that are I think on the way are reason not to splash too much IMO.

But if the difference between the 12th level and 18th level enhancements of those lines (Defender, Kensai etc) isn't too great then you will have 8 levels to play with come 20th level when they are introduced.

I think I specced a nice 10/4/2 (Ftr/Pal/Rog) build out on the old PC with the 2 rogue levels being taken at 8 and 16. The rog levels give you enough skill points for max UMD,balance etc and the evasion ability which you may find handy in those non-combat moments when you need to dodge stuff like a lot of fireballs, traps. Paladin gives you immunity to fear, immune disease, lay on hands, Charisma Bonus to all saves (which is nice) etc. I'd take the feat (Force of Personality*)that adds your charisma to will saves as well so you get it double on Will saves which is typically weakest on Ftr builds.

*I'd take that on the pure build as well and just don't start you Cha below 10, but don't put anything into Wis.

Thanks matey. Heck.. I have just revised my toon.. again :)

I had forgotten the immunity to fear, which can be soooo annoying when your are hit with fear and can do diddly squat.

Oh and what does UMD stand for?
