I thought I would give the impression this forum is actually alive and kicking though somewhat languorously
I had a good game this evening, mostly wittering at Pit whilst he tried not to die in HC.
Have to admit I decided discretion was the better part of valour after clearing third level Worldstone Keep. My exp bar is on the fatter side of halfway and I don't intend on losing it all. Ate up most of my pinks though!
Also when I went to raid other chars to top Pict up I discovered they were all low too, pah! I could have sworn Pict had dished out loads to her fellow adventurers in one of her fits of generosity (ok her stash was a wee bit full).
Oh well I know what my next sesh will be

I bin playing a HC Trapper and they are well suited to it - you dont need to get anywhere near tyhe monsters to kill Was on intermittently but never saw anyone else on - wondering if i haz you on me f list. Not doing baal runs so leveling a bit slow, but after getting a few high level chars pkd instakill, im taking no chances.

I'll be on this weekend since work aren't throwing money at me to do overtime and I need a WoW break. After HC'ing Andi I'm interested in seeing if I can keep Gary Oldman alive through Duriel and beyond.

Duriel scares me, the idea of trying that in HC sounds suicidal

bosse are very easy with a trap assa - 2 tanks to keep the critter occupied and loads of lighyning damage from traps.

Gary Oldman passed away today following a sticky incient involving a pap new (he bloody ran away) merc, a bunch of scarabs and a lightening enchanted b'stard.

If you are mellee, u will die horribly from IM in the chaos sanc. Two ways round it are

A/ Get a wand with big enhanced damage and poke away at them ( not reccomended in HC)

B/ Get the biggest damage bow you can find and have it on switch - as soon as you hear the distindtive IM sound switch and bow em to death. Missiles dont trigger the reflective damage.

i'd prefer it if Clive suck Frozen armour on and stayed the hell out of mellee range.

Am hoping that D3 has a priest character so I can just stay back res'ing my merc. As Mortal Kombat taught us all, a hollow victory is still a victory

I don't think the shaman has that ability but he does seem to have lots of familiars to call.

Been watching the gameplay trailer again (and drooling again). There do seem to be a fair few summon abilities for the witchdoctor. I just hope the hardware requirements are not going to be out of my laptop's capability.

Gay Oldman's turned out to be normal so I've started HC (and remembered to tick the damn box this time) on The-Tick. Fingers crossed for a long, rich, magic item filled life.

Don't worry Pit - by the time the game is released technology will have moved on so much that you'll be able to run it on your washing machine.

TBH though, I'm still excited about it!

Never played a Trapper, ever. I've dug my disks out after reading this.

Would Spirit be beneficial on a HC sorc as well as a normal one? I'm wondering if its worth the loss of hit points to get the str needed? I'm trying a hydra sorc for something different (HC) so shouldnt realy get near anything scary.

Im guessing spirit shield. Personally, i think it rocks for a sorc. Try rol it as a 35 FCR version. Can just keep cubing it to remove the runes till you get it and tbh, i think its worth it. An anni and torch will bump up your str nicely.
