Heart sunk when it was billed as " The inbetweeners" with togas. First episode seemed to be aiming at just that. Main Guy is a clone ( even sounds a bit like) the speccy guy from said Inbetweeners and I was just waiting for them to shout "Chariot Wankers" Saw episode 2 and while a lot of the dialogue and the main character still irritatingly coming across like a pastiche, the whole thing was a lot funnyer - especially Danny Dyer as a "Sensative" Gladiator. Hoping it improves - it needs to.
