Vigilia
Mrs. Scudley
Ok, since the forum wipe took away the plan we had and Raven and Milii have both vanished and no word if Milii is still planning to run these or not, I'd like to try arrange the runs. I really really want these done, and it seems several others do too so here goes.
Few notes though: I don't like to boss people around and if I ask something to be done there is usually a good reason for it. So if you have something against being asked not to run off and asked to do something in the battle or to pay attention to chat log, then don't bother signing up. Also, each run I won't take more than 2 parties tops, otherwise the alliance is just too big for its own good. If more peeps sign up then it's first come first served depending on job needs.
General approach I'm taking is that we're going to do these efficiently, I'm not planning on a linkshell fun day out for all. ClanUK cute and cuddly carebear ethos is all nice and fun, but it gets us nowhere fast. I'm planning to finally get these sons of bitches done, it's nearly a year since CoP came out. If you want to cut down a tree shading your garden using an Asda Price kitchen knife, be my guest, but I'm going to go with the chainsaw.
I'm planning to schedule these on Saturdays, two promys each day. First one in the afternoon, that leaves time for a dinner break inbetween. Then regroup for a second one later in the evening, and do this for 3 consecutive weekends. This means each promy will be done twice on both an afternoon and evening time slot and should give everyone a chance to get them done. Also, the fridays before the runs, I'm going to farm animas if anyone wants some.
To sign up, post here the times you'd like to attend and the jobs you can bring. Also, if you can help others complete their missions if there are parties short of peeps that would be much appreciated. Party setups are for each party: 2x WAR/NIN (dual blink tanks), 1x WHM or RDM/WHM (main healer) and 3x heavy DD (BLM and/or RNG and/or SMN). Always save your 2-hour for the boss fight. It's usually the key to an easy victory.
You must have decent gear (by this I don't mean you need all HQ +2 gear, just appropriate gear for your job- i.e. no mages with +STR rings and if you're tanking don't wear the lvl 7 leather set) for lvl 30 for the job you volunteer to come as, this isn't like the 2-3 mission dragon fight you can do naked. You must also bring relevant food and mages bring juices. Medicines I'll leave up to you apart from obvious things like echo drops that you should carry with you at all times anyway if your job casts anything.
I think the most important thing that I've learnt of Promys so far is that the party must stick together on the way to the spire. The way we'll do it is that we'll have ONE dedicated ranger as a scout, and he'll run ahead and check for clear paths and find the memory receps. When the party/alliance is moving, everyone must pay attention (never use autofollow when moving in potentially aggro areas!). Mobs inside Promyvion aggro by proximity and their aggro range isn't terribly huge so avoiding aggro isn't very difficult. If you need to practice, try running a lvl1 mule from Windurst to Mhaura a couple of times. But the mobs do move around and even though the person ahead of you just got past a mob safely doesn't mean you will. Stay well clear of them and keep everyone else safe. To paraphrase JFK, ask not what your party can do for you but what you can do for your party and we'll be ok.
Now, lets finally get these Promys done.
