[RA]Turn 11 - Noises in the dark

[Group 1]

Lady Helena scans the area for Evil, She detects faint traces of evil but nothing concreate. motioning forwards she nods to Ian to climb down the pit and take a look.

At the bottom he spots, almost immediately a poorly concealed secret door, which carefully he pushes open. A waft of horrendous smelling air washes over him, causing him to wretch a moment [Fort Save - success) - he gulps fo air before plunging inside - his sun rod showering the room with light . Behind him the rest of the group follow, hands on weapons. or weapons drawn, ready.

Strewn around the room are bits of bone and loose dirt. A cool breeze blows by you, and you think you may hear whispering off in the darkness. Around the room you can see several distinct piles of bones...A corridor heads back on you to the northwest or a doorway leads onwards to the east...


[Group 2]

You gather you belongings together - hopefully you will yet be able to find comrades in arms alive down here in the gloom and darkness but you are not convinced. With a quick gesture Merlyn indicates to Paladin to lead on.

Within minutes you see, ahead of you a strongish light glowing and moving - accompanied by quiet, hushed voices, you slow to a stop and listen, your ears straining to make out the voices. It sounds like at least 4 but they are good at keeping quiet... what do you do?

With his warhammer firmly gripped in both hands, ready to pounce at any hint of danger he moves into the gloom, urging olomir to move up close to him and attempt to listen to what the beings ahead are saying.

[ooc, i read olomir had 6 skill in listening, i just wandered if this was the correct way to use skills like this, im still trying to learn how to do this=)]

i get a spare bow string and tie my sunrod to it, allowing my hands to be free and have my bow ready, i lower my self to ground level to see how dusty the room is, and see if their are any weapons lying around the piles of bones

a) how far away these noises are coming from
b) wether they are echoes
c) any words (if any) are recognisable

Yeah along with Alertness I've lvl 9 listen but it should be affected by the smell in the air

I would aid Ian in searching by scanning the floor for tracks of any kind.

ooc: uses the feat 'Track' combined with Wilderness Lore of 11.

Gilead lopes slightly ahead of the rest as quietly as he can. Unimpressed by the foresight and wisdom displayed by everyone else he want's to make sure he finds anything dangerous before anybody else gets to open/break play with it.

Nell pulls up the voluminous claret hood on her cloak to conceal the glint from the light on her white locks. Following her nose she creeps forward, straining her eyes in the dakness and unconsciously chewing her lower lip. Her small brown fingers twitch and stretch, loosening up, in case she has cause to need them.

[Low light vision, hide at 6, listen at 10, spellcraft at 10]
