Lady Helena stepped forward and lowered her weapons and Tieger spoke to the Gnome. Carrylan followed suite and both appraised each other.

"Well sword brother, nowI see you in the light I recognise one of my own brethren. Friends," she looked over her shoulder, "Put away your weapons and join me in a feast with these strangers.

Food is brought out and wearily both groups join together in the room and share food. The Ghouls are concecrated, the body they were feasting on was that of a small halfling. Nell sighed as she examined the body, "Farewell brother." she muttered as blessings were offered.

Stories where exchanged. Carrylan lead a group into the darkness just over a week earlier. He too wished to rid the area of necromantic evil. Lady Helena nodded as he and the others told their tale. In the end is seemed obvious, join together and search out missing comrades in arms and cleanse the place of evil.

With that in mind, an hour later you al rise and begin to head onwards. Carrylan and Nell explained quickly that much of this level of the caves had been cleared, they had lost their group down on what they assumed was the second level. Gilead nodded, and suggested they head that way ...

The journey took them out through a room wiht a table. Nell explained the cards on the table were trapped and not to be trusted. then through an open secret door and southalong a long corridor and then into a large cave. Turning west they followed the cave to a set of stairs, nearby the remains of several large rats littered the floors. Olomair grinned as he retold the tale of the battle and how they had been seperated on thestairs being caught in an ambush.

You head downstairs carefully coming out into a north / south running corridor. The stairwell is in the east wall. Your light shows a door slightly to the north on the west wall and a similar door to the south on the west wall. the air smells foul, and eight giant rat corpses lie strewn about, as though torn apart by some wild animal. Blood splatters cover the entire area...

*Scrunching up his face and snorting outwards through his nose due to the odour Olomair will advance towards said animal corpses feeling now glad of the company he is keeping and glad of the recent meal...

Upon to and during the walk towards the corpses ( nearest one if they are strewn about the room ) and try ( if bearable by the smell ) to look at the wounds caused and try to establish what type of animal has hunted them... if concluding that the animal used a beak then he'll look towards the ceiling*

"well what ever got them, they must be either big, or quite a few of them to get 8 gaint rats"

"The wounding on these rats is similar to that which my hawk may do, But he would do it to a creature less than half that size. Its seems to be something quite large we have here people." Tieger says, glancing at the rats as he loads a bolt into his x-bow.

"Rats can be quite good fighters if cornered. Big sharp pointy teeth and sensitive noses. A sense of danger is well developed in a rat and I don't think I'd like to meet such a brutish killer as that which saw these off; at least not on my own." Nell grins, "then again, I'm not on my own and it's not right that something should wantonly chew it's way through a whole pack of rats. They may be big but they can be loyal, I had a pet rat for a while as a child, before it outgrew me and gnawed on a wand of magic missiles." Nell sighs.

"Heh, animals do tend to have a habit of eating stuffs that bad for them, dont they? My hawk eats pretty much anything he can find..."

"Hmmm...we were attacked not too long ago by similar large rats above in the open ground, whatever did this to these rats was either the hunter or the hunted...such numbers of rats (and such large rats) away from the nest is rare unless they are seeking food or shelter. Perhaps we best not delay in this passage and seek one of the doors to the north or to the west?"

I shall search the floor to see if i may find the source or direction of any creature that may have passed here.

ooc: Uses the feat Track combined with Wilderness Lore to determine any signs of trail and where they may lead.

Siggi looks round at the carnage trying to ascertain weather the furs would be worth anything.

"Hey! dont be worryink! If a big, nasty bear is here, Siggni vil shmack it around for you! Oh, and if it is a bear, try and make holes in its head. Dont damage the pelt!"

"Shall we try this way, then." Nell points to the door to the north. "Once you've found whatever it is you are looking for on the floor, that is. Um, what is it you are looking at?"

"To cause mad of this type i think 4 legs was at rest when this and this 4 legs tail came close"

*starts moving hands and fingers to aid himself see how this could of happenned*

"Yes Yes 4 legs was madded by 4 legs tails... on seeing or before"
