RIP
So much is owed to him with his strong ideas in science, like the ideas of Satellites and space travel, the human race owe him so much. He will be missed as a great writer too.

It was more of a case of the police in Sri Lanka being not having enough evidence to prosecute under their laws I read. That doesn't mean the accusations were unfounded or that he was guilty, but it does lean more towards guilty I reckon.

Yeah we don't need stuff like 'evidence' and 'due process' getting in the way. If the press suggests that someone is a vile kiddy fiddler then that should be good enough to send them down.

Do you believe everything the Sunday Mirror tabloid reports? It was a sensationalist story that was retracted. They're lucky they didn't get sued.

"The investiture of the award had been delayed, at Clarke's request, since 1998 because of an accusation by the British tabloid The Sunday Mirror. The accusation, of paedophilia, was found baseless by Sri Lankan police and retracted by the paper soon after."

i never belive a story i read in any paper, these days it all about selling papers, the recent case with the mccanns, and the fact that the papers had to pay them a load of money cause what they printed was wrong and why the printed it just to sell more papers
