Hmm, wasn't too keen on the 1st one, but is this better than say CoD4?
Just finished CoD3 and fancy another shooter (still rubbish at Gears )

Cad and I have had one session on it so far, was alot of fun, but some bits end up being less about skill and more about remembering where you were snipered from 10 seconds earlier.

You have to be much more thoughtful than when playing Gears, but that's not necessarily a bad thing

comparing it to gears isnt really fair to either of them.
completely different styles of game tbh.

they both involve shooting things, they both have cover systems, there both third person, they have both well integrated two player co-op. So they have some close points of similarity

Yeah I know gears is less tactical than Vegas, I was just commenting that I'm crap at gears, still not used to the control system

I liked CoD3, even though is it supposed to be the worst of the franchise, but I was wondering if Vegas compares at all?

Perhaps I should just say what is better CoD4 or CoD5?

COD5 isn't really an improvement on 4, it's basically the same game engine but in a different setting. Certainly don't bother buying both at this stage - 6 is coming soon and that promises to have alot of upgrades. I don't really like the Vegas franchise much to be honest I had alot more fun playing Gears, COD and Halo in either the campaign or multiplayer than Vegas.

Rented CoD 4 and was enjoying it until I got so annoyed in the campaign with the constant grenade spam!

Is it like this all the way through?
Is WAW like this too?

Like the modern weapons in 4, but not so keen now with all the grenades, but this is just single player and I have yet to try the multiplayer.

The multiplayer on CoD 4 is awesome but expect to get your ass kicked till you learn the maps.
