Well I assume it's open beta, I got straight in

free (can purchase coins), MMO, runs in java, permadeath, PvP, crafting, exploring, blah, blah, blah

Assuming nothing else goes wrong with the kitchen I'm gonna give it a spin over the weekend

Well I had a go on Friday/weekend and was good right up to the point two people wandered by and "WTFpwn'd my newbness(tm)", Murdered my character meaning all progress was lost and although my little plot was still intact (my new character took over ownership) all the useful stuff I'd gathered had been nicked.

May be fun on a brand new server or if enough people you knew and trusted gathered together, but as it is now with the old boys playing it, seemingly hating people just starting out it's about as uncomfortable as I thought it would be.

What makes it doubly wierd though is the way they are funding it with in game purchases, but you'd need to be pretty sure about being very very very safe before spending real money on something. The in app thing with permadeath is a brave idea but just not sure it will actually work.
