Server Upgrade

I just recieved an email from GoAA.

Your server is under the required minimum number of slots required for European hosting. The minimum number of slots for an Americas Army server in our European cluster is 12 public slots. Please upgrade your server to meet this minimum within the next 48 hours. Failure to do so will result in the transition of your server to one of our other locations.

Let me know if you want to stay with the European server or go back to a US one.

hmmm, i think we'd prefer to stay european... tbh i think that is bull****, but 12 man server isn't the worst thing in the world *sigh*

How much would a 12 slot server cost each month?

I don't mind contributing if the alternative means high pings.

Slots are $8 each, 12slots=$96 (about �54) /month
We currently split the cost between 4 of us.

Upgrading will probably change the IP again as well.

Personaly I think we should upgrade , just wish they'd said something before this, or in fact said "Sorry we cant change you to euro server because you need a 12 slot server" instead of the crap email..... Email me the new payments if everyone agrees Grav ,bud wife should like it hehehehe

Just spoke to Fan, he's up for the upgrade as well.

I suggest we get a list of all people who want to pay (more the cheaper for everyone)
If we can get six that keeps the price the same.

As much as I'd love to pay m8 I really can't afford to, if however I do get a pay rise any time soon I'll pay for my "slot" as it were....

are they going to charge us an admin cost for the privilege though? reckon we ought to be in a position for them to waver that in light of them effectively forcing up the rent.

As with Medi Grav - just tell me the difference and I'll update bank details to accomodate.

How much for each extra spot beyond that though? would be nice to have the potential of always having all of =ClanUK= on the same side if eg 14 not too different in cost than 12 and other folk willing to chip in - seem to regularly have 7 of us on at any given time these days (i know this cause of the number of times i'm thinking how we're just 1 guy short of TWL practice)

12 man server will also allow us to compete in other leagues of course.

And always have the saw as an option for Kegs

i'm pretty much AWOL this weekend

in at 6am today - back home just now bit of a kip then back in tonight for 10pm for all nighter through to possibly midday tomorrow.

then on call for rest of waking weekend.

i'm pretty happy to go with whatever anyone wants to do though - whether that be let it lapse for now & keep the 10-man or make the token gesture upto 12 with same folk paying. But if there are peeps willing to dip into their pockets and contrib then I think would be a good idea to go up to 14.

for the record - Grav, Madi, Fanf and myself currently pay about �11 each per month for teh server as it stands. Dunno what we need to upgrade to 12 or 14?... Anyone who can definately pitch-in could do with either talking to Fanf at the paintballing or contact Grav v v quickly...

i can chip in, whilst i have a job i'll pay for my share, whatever it is anybody got a paypal account i can send the cash too? would be the easiest for me, since i don't really pay attention to my bank other than when i do stuff, and when my agency decides to not pay me (for example... this week), direct debit stuff could screw me up lol
