I think it's live now, or maybe just some people testing it, but anyone here using it or planning on using it ? If I didn't have Sky already I'd certainly be tempted as it seems much cheaper as well than a normal Sky subscription

Sky Player subscriptions come free for satellite customers, and start at 15 per month for those without a dish. However, a word to the thrifty: those with a second home, or trekking to university with their Xbox in tow, might like to remember that each Sky Player account can have four PCs attched, as well as one Xbox, and those consoles and PCs neednt be in the same household as the satellite dish.

But supposedly you need a minimum of 2Mbps which means we can't get it

Ohhh, means I could take it on hols and watch Sky still :) ... well assuming like the last few places I've been to there is an internet connection

Edit: Ohhhh
The UK release date for Sky Player for Xbox 360 is 27 October

So it is live today :)

Edit 2 : Better and better !

How fast will my broadband connection have to be to be able to watch Sky player?

Xbox Live Product Unit Manager Jerry Johnson: "Right now the minimum requirements are minimum 1Mb connection with a suggestion of 2Mb to get an optimal experience of that. When we see the continued penetration of higher and higher connection then that may change.

"We are continuing to work with Sky to enhance that experience using the various technologies that are available."

The lowest quality streams at 600Kbps, the medium at 1.1Mbps and the best quality at 1.8Mbps.

So I can use it :D
