So who spilled the beans on the insane XP?

Logged in last night (think everyone else must have been watching the football or something) to find that all the ^^ mobs in The Peat Bog had disappeared to be replaced by pansy solo mobs.

Forest Ruins is the same as well with all the Forest Guardians etc reduced to mere shadows of their former selves. (That could have happened previously, twas my first visit there in quite some time.)

So xp-ing is now a little slower than previously

The question is where can my Monk find some new friends? The ^^ Wetland Monitors and Mist Hunters were a nice replacement for the Mystail Matriarchs and Oakmyst Does giving 5-8% per kill.

As he's a lvl13 now where can I find some heroic lvl9/10s? Oakmyst Great Bears still heroic? (though they always hit mightily hard)

And when does the new combat patch come in, cos I seemed to be missing an awful lot against mobs my own level for some reason?

It's the new solo enhancement that was put in a few months ago. Some 60% of the content of most zones have become "solo friendly".

In fact, I was in an exp group in TS with my Bard today, and all we could do was run around and kill yellow solo mobs. The few group ^^ mobs left were red to us. Means we will have to completely re-learn where we can group at what level. ARGH.

I am planning to send feedback to Sony that while solo content is fine and good, it does help to leave some content in the game for groups. While it was always silly before that every frigging animal or monster was group only, it is now just as bad with almost everything being solo only.

Nope this was different.

I logged in 2 days ago and was killing heroic mobs for 5-8% in Oakmyst Forest and the Peat Bog. Then I log in last night and the ones in the Peat Bog have all turned solo!!

At first I thought they had messed up, then I thought that they'd just corrected something they'd just messed up. Then I thought that surely they'd have posted something about it. Then Liverpool were beating Chelsea.

It must have been some kind of pseudo dream state...
